I was riding an elevator in a public building, and on its wall I saw the amazing control panel shown here. It had a large number, presumably the floor we were on, and it had two arrays of numbers, one on a screen and one in a keypad.
I’m still not sure what the idea was. I can conjecture, but when you ride in a busy elevator you don;t want to have to play with riddles. They could have at least captioned the arrays to tell us what they do… but they couldn;t be bothered, and left the public with a really lame user experience.
Shame!
